The Nourish Circuit

Connect. Feed. Repeat.

Bringing people, kitchens and resources together to help feed our communities.

Nourish Circuit coordinates restaurants, food providers, donors, volunteers and community resources to help address food insecurity through collective action.

Founded in Warsaw, Missouri • Built for communities everywhere.

Our Mission

A Simple Mission

We organize and coordinate community resources to help feed and nourish people experiencing food insecurity.

We believe communities can accomplish more when resources are coordinated rather than fragmented.

By combining donations, purchasing power, food resources, kitchen capacity and volunteers, Nourish Circuit helps communities turn available resources into meals that reach people who need them.

Food doesn't only need to be donated. Sometimes it needs to be purchased, transported, prepared, cooked and served.

The Circuit

How the Circuit Works

Six repeatable steps. Each one turns available community resources into meals that reach people who need them.

  1. Connect

Bring together restaurants, donors, food providers, volunteers and community organizations.

  2. Pool Resources

Combine financial contributions, donated food, supplies, equipment, kitchen capacity and volunteer time.

  3. Purchase & Source

Use collective purchasing power to pursue bulk and wholesale pricing where practical.

  4. Prepare

Work with participating kitchens and volunteers to safely turn ingredients into meals.

  5. Serve

Provide meals and food resources to people in the community.

  6. Repeat

Learn from each activation and build a stronger network for the next need.

Connect. Feed. Repeat.

Collective Purchasing

More Impact From the Same Dollar.

Ten people separately buying food at retail can accomplish something. Those same resources combined and strategically purchased in bulk can often accomplish more.

Nourish Circuit exists to help organize that collective purchasing and preparation power — so contributions of every size go further.

  1. Individual Resources

    Separate dollars, food and effort

  2. One Coordinated Effort

    Combined and strategically purchased

  3. More Food. More Meals.

    Greater impact in the community

Community Kitchens

Kitchens Can Be Part of the Circuit.

A restaurant may be closed for the day while its kitchen still has enormous value to the community.

Nourish Circuit works to connect available commercial kitchen capacity, experienced food-service professionals and volunteers with donated and purchased ingredients.
